        Hi everyone!
        This is the first big shedding cycle that Casper has gone through (I think)… It has been about a week of her loosing hair on her face and it looks quite thinned out, but also the shedding has been quite symmetrical. I just want to know if this is looking normal for a big seasonal shed, OR, is this looking like something other than that? She is looking pretty haggard right now- but seems to be shedding a lot more than normal (which is typically not at all.. being a rex and all)…

        Any input is great!

          My rabbits have never shed on their faces like that. Do you have any observatsions along with this? Flaking or red skin, etc.?

          (I’m not sure if this is normal…. But any more detail would help.)

            Hi!
            Thanks for the reply!

            There is no flaking, dryness ,etc- the hair is coming out and there is just a thin layer of peach fuzz  in it’s place. She had this weird mo-hawk for a couple of days and now that too is coming out it. When i pet her face it it definitely coming out in “stages” … not all of the hair once, just slowly from one are to the other.

              I just wanted to update on how this is progressing for the original picture if anyone wants to jump in here with any thoughts… She seems to be happy and normal- Maybe a little but stressed, though. We travelled with her to my moms which was a 6 hours ride- she was stressed on the way there but was fine on the way back and adjust to her set up there okay. I usually spend a ton of time with her in the morning and then work at night, however school has started again so I am with her more in the afternoons and less time in the morning.. maybe a little stress due to exercise change? Or is this just typical of a mini-rex-albino molt???

               She is about 8 months.

              up to date pictures::

                My Mini-Rex used to shed on his face like that during a big molt.

                  My bunnies shed on their faces. I think what stands out so much to me is that I’ve never had a bun with such bright pink skin and ears, so for me, all the pink is odd and not so much the shed pattern.
