        Hi guys,

We’ve just taken quite a few branches off out lilac tree, and I have seen that they are okay for buns. I am guessing they will be okay fresh, but I’m wanting to dry some so they will keep. Does anyone know how I would go about this please?

I wonder if it’s like pine cones?

I don’t know the rules on linking but here’s a link to prepare pinecones:

Whatever you do with them, they dry if you take them inside, so you can just put them where there’s space. If they’re indoors there won’t grow fungi or rot on them. That’s what you risk if you store them outside, dead branches are food for many types of fungi.

I always thought lilac was poisonous. I find contradictory info now. I only ever give apple, willow and hazel. Great if it isn’t poisonous, I’ve a ton of lilac trees/bushes.
