My rabbit grew up in a small cage with no litterbox. So when I adopted him, Ih ad to potty train him. He is pretty good but every so often he poops a lot out of the box. It’s really annoying! How can I potty train him better? Thanks!

catch him doing it and make him watch you put the poops in the box, and TELL him that poops go in the LITTER BOX!

spending time with the bun and catching them in the act is super helpful in my experience, and also what I have learned from other house bun owners!

I’ve never had a bunny that was potty trained to poop in the litter box. That would be a miracle! Bunnies poop everywhere! I’m happy that both my babies pee in their box and haven’t had a carpet accident in a few months.

Ahahahahaha! My rabbit only poops in the litter box! And she’s 8 months old and reached maturity. I know this because she’s been making those honking noises when she’s excited. Maybe you need to use something else in your litter box.

The only time my bun poos outside her litterbox is when shes letting me know its her space! I just diligently put her poos in the box :p I think if you’re consistent and have patience more and more poos will eventually go into the box You could always try experimenting with different types of litters though!
