I moved in to a new house recently, and my new bedroom (where the rabbit lives) is much smaller than my old one. I had my rabbit pen set up like this in the old house, but it took up over a quarter of my bedroom once I moved!

        Old setup:

It’s kind of hard to tell in the picture, but when it was set up like this, it was 9 feet long and 5 feet wide (at the widest point). I also suffered from a back injury recently, which rendered it impossible for me to get down on the floor and clean the dog kennel part of the cage (leading to a stinky house and an unhappy bun ). After some trial and error, I was finally able to fit him comfortably in our new house without having to sacrifice the amount of space he got.

        New setup:

After removing the top and base of the kennel, I was able to use metal clips to secure it to the blue wired part; Now to clean it, all I have to do is unclip the inside of the “L” shape, swing it open and vacuum! Chebbar seems to be just as pleased as I am with the move.

Rad! He must love the space and clean house :p does the L shape give him more running room?

Love it! I think you found a great solution to the new situation.

I believe it does! The pen is a little bit skinnier but longer now, and he definitely zips around in it much more often than he used to in the old house.
