Doing the daily poop checks I’ve noticed two little bundles of cecotrops, that i think belong to Merlin. I’m not sure why he isnt eating them :/ The internet suggests its a too rich diet, and to perhaps lighten the intake of pellets but he’s eating very few atm, my rabbits get a small bowl of nuggets (enough to cover the bottom of the bowl) to share between them, then access to hay all day and some veggies in the evening! Not sure why

        Any thoughts? I’m worried!

It really isn’t anything to worry about…some rabbits just don’t eat all their cecotropes. As long as they are perfectly formed and not mushy you shouldn’t worry – it can be messy for us humans to clean up but that is really the only issue with extra cecotropes.

Also he’s probably just eating what he needs and leaving the leftovers.

Thanks Sarita. There hasn’t been any other abnormalities, he still nearly takes my hand off when i put the food down, so hes not lost any appetite. I’ll keep an eye.
