With my recently passed bun, she had developed elongated back molars, which I guess it caused by either genetics, old age, or not having the right sort of things to eat, since gnawing only seems to help the front teeth.

So what can I feed to ensure that Charlie’s back teeth stay nice and properly worn? She doesn’t have issues right now, so I’m more focused on prevention.

She gets plenty of timothy hay and hard pellets every day, but are there other things that help?

Hay is the main thing for molars, and teeth generally.
Try not to worry, as long as she has plenty of hay she’ll be fine.

Yes, like Tessie said, hay, hay, hay :~)

I will say that even the best hay eaters may still get molar spurs due to age, genetics, etc…and while it may help slow the process down it won’t stop it.

Pellets aren’t really going to help at all though for the teeth that is.
