Sawyer is about 5 months old. I know a lot of rabbits are usually full grown at 6 months.

I was wondering about this though, because a couple weeks ago I went to the pet store where I got him and they had a 4-month-old Holland Lop for sale. He was a lot bigger than Sawyer, who is also a Holland Lop. The pet store also has an adult HL living there who is bigger than Sawyer. My rabbit book says they are usually 4 pounds and under. At the vet he was just over 2. I thought he would be bigger than he is. I don’t mind either way of course but I was curious.

Do you think he will grow much more? Maybe the store underestimated the age of the one they had for sale.

Here is a picture of him next to my hand for size comparison. He seems pretty tiny to me and he hasn’t grown much lately.

I think he will definitely grow more. Some people do say that bunnies stop growing at six months, but it is my personal experience that they don’t finish growing until they are closer to a year.

My Bumpy seemed to slow down on the growth about 6 months, but he did fill out more for several more months. He was about 4 pounds at the year mark… maybe a teeny bit more.

Growing and filling out are not quite the same thing. Smaller breed bunnies tend to stop getting bigger/longer/taller/etc at around 6 months or so. They will continue to fill out (gain weight) for a bit after that.
