What is the best size littler box to use for my bunny? She is two years old now and I have always used the box from the cage she had from when she was little. It is pretty big. She is a free roam bunny if that matters, but I wanted to see what everyone uses. I just had her spayed and we are in the potty training stages now. I am having her bonded in a week so if I downgrade in size will it be big enough and if I change the box will she still know its her litter box?

As long as it’s a box she should probably know it’s her litterbox

I have 2 bunnies, and I find that x-large cat litter boxes work the best. I clean it every day with water and white vinigar and fill it with newspaper and lots of fresh hay that I buy in bales (I don’t use storebought litter).

Do you need any help with the actual litter training?

Thank you. She is doing well peeing in her box because she has pretty much always done that but she is pooping everywhere. I have my bed on the ground and she jumps on the bed and poops all over it. Its almost like she does it on purpose and she is doing it on her bed too. The lady at the shelter told me I need to pick up the poops and put them in her box and not vacuum them all and eventually she will get the hang of it, but there are so many it will take me forever

Just keep picking them up (you can use a mini broom and dustpan), and putting them in the litterbox while your bunny can see and watch you.

I went out last night and bought her a cat litter pan and she seems to really like it and be using it pretty well, but this morning when I woke up she was laying in it. Is that normal? Do they do that?

Your bunny just loves the box. My bunnies have 2 cat litterboxes, one for the bathroom, and one to sleep in (with fleece not litter)

Ok good news Do you have any suggestions for me in terms of her going to the bathroom on the bed? She is doing pretty well since I started picking up the poop and showing her they go in the litter box, but she is still peeing on my bed. I am soaking it up with a paper towel and putting it in her litter box, but I am having to wash my sheets everyday.
