Today i will be picking up Sasha who is an 11 week old Mini lop. I have had other bunnys before but never a lop. I just wanted to see if anyone could give me pointers or advice when it comes to taking care of this breed. I’m off to bring her home…Thank you in advance

There’s nothing really different about lops and any other rabbit. I think they tend to get a little hotter because of their ears, so you can spray them with water, and make sure they stay cool.

They are the best! I have a lop and a Nethe and my lop is way more relaxed and laid back. When I get my third bun it will most likely be another lop.

My little Sasha is something else. She was doing binkys all over the place when we got her home. She’s going to be a jumper, she jumped straight out of her temporary pen and was hanging out on my dresser. I can already tell shes going to have a great personality. LizziAnn I also have a Nethe named Penelope and now my little lop Sasha.

I have a lop and a Nethe too!!! My lop is like LizziAnn’s though. Really calm and laid back. She doesn’t jump much at all. She runs a bunny 500 occasionally and she does a few binkys here and there but over all she is pretty lazy. She is super affectionate though. She comes running whenever she sees someone for a nose rub. My Nethe on the other hand is always on the go. His new favorite game is to go up and down the stairs for hours.

That is so interesting. My Nethe, Luna, seems like a complete nutter next to Neji my lop.
She has so much energy and really seems to enjoy jumping. I feel like I should get her some agility jumps because of how much she is on the go.
Krissy what is Penelope like? and I am so pleased that your new addition is so happy and settled in.

LizziAnn Penelope is one crazy bunny always jumping around. She likes to play hide and seek she will randomly pop out from behind doors and run around my feet before she goes of to hide again. My lop Sasha is more comfortable now she jumps up on my bed and flops herself on my pillows when she has her free time out of her condo. She is still very playful as well. Hopefully these two get along once Sasha gets spayed.
