Earlier I posted about Sage not feeling good. With wheezing/snorting and sneezing. Well now we think he broke his foot. Hubby was asleep most of the day (works over nights) and I was gone for 5 hours. He was fine and hopping around the house before I left. Put him back in cage. When I got home we opened up cage and he wouldn’t come out. So we picked him up and put him on floor. He started to head back to his cage and we noticed he had his back leg up off floor I swear this bunny is going to break us with vet bills. We looked it up and it says to keep him confined for 3 weeks and not pick him up. That’s going to be hard.

If his foot is broken he may need a cast and should be seen by a vet. I know it can get expensive and all seems to hit at once. I just broke in my new CareCredit account on Thursday and I have pet insurance on all three buns.

Maybe some of the more experienced bunny parents can give you some advice on how yo tell if it’s likely broken or it’s likely something else? I’m definitely a catch-it-and-treat-it-early kin of bunny mom and I prefer to err on the side of caution.
