I got my rabbit spayed earlier today, and when I got home after being out for a while, she saw me and started running around her cage and I’m worried she’s going to hurt herself :/ she did it a few more times, but i covered her cage with a blanket so she can’t see me or anything to excite her. I’m super worried.

I was going to speak about the spay of my baby Goliath but because of her recent passing I’m going to use David’s neuter as my guiding help haha.

David’s always been a runner and an active member in the bunny 500
After he was fixed he loved to hop and stretch and try to run around. I ended up having to leave him in his cage just so he could run around the room at lightning speed haha.

I’m going to bet the cage running shouldn’t hurt her however as both my babies did it. Maybe spend a little time with her instead of keeping her blocked off??

Keep an eye on her. Could she be in pain? Make sure she isn’t chewing at her stiches. A painkiller often makes the bun a little drowsy, I hope your vet gave you a painkiller (Metacam) to take home. Has she eaten anything yet? Pooped?
