I’m looking at adopting an 11 month old flemish giant and I’m trying to figure out the best way to keep him out of trouble while I’m at work. Would a 5′ by 11′ pen be enough room or should it be wider? He would have free run of the house for at least 8 hours a day(much more on weekends) as well as some closely supervised outside time a couple of times a week. Hopefully I would eventually be able to let him out all day, but I’m just not comfortable doing that right away. (Sorry if this is on the wrong board… it’s my first time posting!)

I think that should be fine. Sounds like he is going to be a spoiled bun!

Just a head’s up… make sure it’s taller than 42 inches OR have the top covered with something to prevent jumping out. My 3 month old flemish just jumped out of her pen tonight and it’s 42 inches tall.
