Fluffy has been having urinary issues. She has been on baytril for 14 days now but it doesn’t look like its helped, she is still urinating a lot. Anyway, about a week ago I found this in her litter box. It looked kind of like a seed but round, and it was the same size as her poop. I’m not sure what this is, nor do I know if it came from somewhere else and ended up in her litter box. Could it be a kidney/bladder stone?

Did the vet do an x-ray to see if she had any stones?

Not sure what the heck that is, I guess you could take it to the vet and see what they think.

No they didn’t do an x ray. They just prescribed baytril for 14 days and said they would call back to see how she’s doing but they haven’t yet. The medicine did not seem to have helped at all.
I’m not really sure what it is either, and I already threw it out im hoping its not a stone :/

It’s hard to know just by looking – they would have to analyze it.

I would call and talk to the vet if the baytril didn’t help….did he do a urinalysis by any chance?

This might be a stupid question, but are you sure nobody gave her a cherry? That looks like a cherry pit to me…
Had she seemed to be in pain at all before you found this object?

LOL, LEL I was thinking the same thing.

Are you sure this isn’t something indigestible that passed through her system?

One of our vets showed me some stones she had removed from rabbits and they looked more like very round pieces of concrete or like closeup pictures of the moon, and were grayish white.

Lol I don’t feed her cherries, but we do have cherry lovers in our family so it could be that someone ended up dropping that in her litter box… although that is very bizarre

But no she never seems to be in pain throughout this whole thing, in fact she acts normal which is really making me start to wonder what is up. Her rear end is ALWAYS stained nowadays, even despite 2 weeks of medicine so it cant be a simple UTI. Months ago as some of you may know, she had blood and blood clots coming out which was resolved when she got spayed. But soon after she started drinking a lot and peeing a lot… I never thought anything of it because I was just so relieved that I wasn’t seeing blood anymore. Now im starting to think that that issue and this issue have something to do with each other, like they are linked in some way? Because I remember the vet saying there was a bit of blood in her urine back when she was having the blood clots… but that was a reproductive issue and this is a urinary issue. Idk what do you guys think, are they totally unrelated or could it be that one issue led to/caused another?

In the meantime what sort of veggies should I be feeding her? I guess I mean to ask, what veggies are high in calcium and should be cut back on? Right now in feeding her romaine, cilantro, collard greens and I was feeding her kale not anymore though.
