I called to see how much it would be to get my new lionhead neutered. They said an estimate would be $150 to $400 depending on how it goes. That’s seems like. Lot. Any opinions on this?

$150 is actually a pretty average price for neutering, and although $400 is steep I have seen people pay more. Is the vet rabbit savvy? You may want to search around to see if you can get a lower price with another bunny vet. If there are any rabbit rescues around you, it’s a good idea to call them and see who they recommend.

The “depending on how it goes” part sounds weird and scary to me.

Uh… Yeah. Lol… What does “depending how it goes” mean? 🙁

Has your rabbit seen this vet for an exam yet? Does that mean $150 for a male, $400 if he ends up being a she?

Or is that if additional boarding is required afterwards?

Can you get a full printed out quote?
