        Hi everyone

So I have a young lion head bunny she is very picky with toys. Sigh

I have spent amounts of money on all these special rabbit toys that hang, treat balls, straw ball, sticks, mineral stones and she isn’t impressed with any of them but I gave her a toilet tube to she if she reacted and it’s her fav thing so I realised she is a simple cheap bunny and loves it, is there anything I can do to spice it up make it a little more fun for her as well as stuffing with hay and treats or maybe any other things I can recycle or make for her to enjoy.

Just this past week we posted a link to the DIY archive page on the site. It was posted in Facebook, but I am copying the link for you here. It is just one of many DIY toys suggested both there, and in this forum.

I’m in the same exact boat! My young lionhead refuses to play with store bought toys, but will pay some attention to simple home made toys! I bought her a baby key toy yesterday and she has played with it a bit. You can try stopping by dollar stores and getting some cheap toys aimed at kids such as slinkies,or soft plushies.  But I find that getting some cardboard boxes and making many different holes in them (to hop in and out/poke head through) is really fun for her. Oh also I was advised yesterday that switching out all her toys to different ones and alternating every weeks keeps them from getting used to the same toys. Oh and I left a small tin can out once and she went wild trying to man handle it.. it wasnt a soda can, which I think is too flimsy and she would get cut biting through it,but a much thicker can is great. Maybe try putting a rock in it and taping the top,so she can hear it rattle.

Definitely keep soda cans away from bunny. Just ask AndHenry!

Must be lion heads hahaha. Just before I took a toilet tube and ripped loads of slits into it and stuffed it to the brim with hay and little snacks and it’s kept her quiet for a good while, I may have to do a little shopping trip for her tomorrow haha.

Do you also know if there is anything similar to a mineral stone that would be good for her to gnaw on, she also isn’t interested in them at all??

                    Bunnies don’t need mineral stones.
