We’ve had our first rabbit for about 10 weeks now, she is a dwarf lop and she is around 20weeks old. She has started loosing her hair in the past week which I assume is normal, however, she seems to be loosing hair on her back legs more than anywhere else. Also when we groom her to help the hair out, she is fine until we touch her back legs then she kicks and wrigles her way out! Also instead of running around like a mad woman like normal, she has been spending a lot of time grooming her own back legs! Anyone have any ideas what’s going on??

Is there any chance she might have fleas? I would take her to the vet myself.

Are there bald areas on her legs or is new fur growing there now?

It’s a little hard to see properly as she won’t let me go near her legs!! She used to be grey and white patchy but now she’s becoming very white except for these two patches one on each leg which are darker grey and seems to be very short fur (about half the length of her normal fur) she’s not bald as such, just short dark fur instead of long white fur.

Also she is eating and drinking fine etc etc.
