Hello! My name is Katie, and I am the proud owner of two wonderful bunnies!

The first is Chuckles, a 10-month-old male bunny. He is absolutely adorable in every way, although he prefers to spend his time alone behind the couch and is not especially affectionate. However, I still love him to death. It took him 4 months to trust me completely and stop lunging at me and running away when I approached to pet him. Now, he even comes up to me himself sometimes and puts his head down, waiting to be stroked!

The second is a female 2-month-old mini-lop named Daffodil. Daffodil is much sweeter and more affectionate than Chuckles, but she also has personality and spunk. If something seems to be not how she likes it, she will show attitude. I have only had her for a week, but I love her dearly already! I have seen her laying on her back with her legs up at least twice already, and am glad that she is happy. I have also gotten her to purr a few times, which Chuckles has never done for me.

Daffodil and Chuckles are having a little trouble bonding, and it seems that whenever they make progress, something suddenly goes wrong. Chuckles is the dominant bunny, so the first time they met, he mounted Daffodil a few times as she lay perfectly still. Now, whenever Chuckles is around her in a small space, he will lay in front of her with his head lowered, but she won’t even touch him, and I feel that he gets frustrated and decides to attack and chase her around. If they are in a bigger space, she just runs away and he is not able to catch her. Most of the time, they seem to be tolerant of each other….

I love them both dearly, however!

I sure hope Chuckles is neutered! You should wait until both are neutered/spayed to try bonding them. Daffodil hasn’t hit puberty yet and will likely get a bit territorial when she does.
If Chuckles isn’t neutered, you’re liable to have lots of baby bunnies … .

              Hi,
Yes, Chuckles is neutered and we are waiting for Daffodil to be old ebough to get spayed. I just really want them to get along, but waiting may be a good idea at the moment.

                Hi,
Yes, Chuckles has been neutered, and we plan to get Daffodil spayed as soon as she is old enough. I was really hoping they would bond more easily, but it does make sense that it would go a little rough due to her age.
