Our neighbour just came over briefly, and was talking to my partner at the door while I was feeding Harvey some veggies. All of a sudden Harvey got really skittish, looking like he was ready to bolt. He also thumped twice, which I have never known him to do before and hid under the couch. As soon as the neighbour left he went back to normal, so it feels as though he was getting some sort of vibe from the neighbour that saw him as a threat. We have had plenty of people over before that he has been friendly towards, so it’s pretty out of character! Does anyone else’s bunnies get weird over certain people? I’m wondering if he knows something I don’t

My rabbit Usagi boxed at my mom and tried to bite her. I had never seen him act they way toward anyone else he usually is a friendly and curious rabbit. Maybe they pick up on the person’s energy level who knows. hehe

Moshi freaks and Marlee hides when anyone they don’t know comes around them. My son’s ex-girlfriend’s bunny likes everyone except her father — when he comes in the room the bun bites his ankles. You just never know!

My bunnies freak out over certain people-usually those who aren’t fond of bunnies. I guess they smell fear?
