My bunnies two top front teeth have fallen out! I have no clue how it happened. She has plenty to chew on, pinecones, loofahs, tons of bunny chews and sticks from the pet store and she eats hay on a regular basis. There was nothing in her X-Pen area her teeth could have gotten caught on.

She is still eating fine, we’ve softened her pellets with water and cut up her hay and veggies to make it easier for her. There is no more that I can do for her though … I cannot afford a vet, it simply isn’t an option. I know that you all are going to say take her to a vet but I CAN’T.

I need any information that could help me to know how this happened to her teeth and how to make sure she is OK.

Are you sure they’ve actually fallen out and haven’t broken off? Breaking off would be much more common.

It seems it can happen as a result of genetics / poor diet / trauma to the mouth.
The tooth/teeth may grow back, but you won’t know until they grow back or you get an x-Ray.

The problems with this (other than obviously trouble eating) can be infection and abscesses.

You might try cleaning the area, and have a feel for abscesses, but to be honest, the rabbit does need to see a vet, and there’s no way around that.

Is there an SPCA or rabbit rescue that you could contact for help getting vet care for your bunny?
