        Hey guys.

So, yesterday, I adopted another rabbit. (Yes, I still have my boy Sienna.)

She’s 1 yr and a couple of months, and got spayed two days ago. She’s in my bathroom, in a small cage, with the cage door open. She ate a little bit and has pooped, and has been drinking water, but all through the night I don’t think she came out of her cage. She came out once while I was in there, kind of sniffed around/periscoped, and went back in. The floor is tile, but I’ve laid down a blanket for her.

Should I call the vet? She seems okay..just kind of lethargic..but maybe it’s because she’s in a new place, combined with being recent;y spayed?

I think it’s a combo of new place and being spayed – it can 3 or 4 days for a rabbit to fully recover from a spay.

I’d be a bit torn about it, but not take her to the vet. It’s probably stress from everything that has happened, and going back to the vet at this point would just be causing more stress.

I would give her some more time.

I agree with the others. Spaying is a pretty major surgery after all. I would give her several days and if she doesn’t perk up, give your vet a ring.

She’s staying in the same part of her cage, regardless if I’m in there or not. I don’t think that she’s moved all day. I know they sleep during the day, but my boy (who’s in a different room) moves around and rotates sleeping spots, plus Evie (the girl) wasn’t really active last night either, from what I could tell. I don’t want to cause her more stress with a vet visit especially because my vet is nearly two hours away.

Is she still eating enough and pooping?

When i got my rabbit (i have had him for 56 days now) took about 20 days before he started being more active all the time. He doesnt like change/new stuff so your rabbit is probably like mine and just getting used to the place

She’s still eating, pooping, and drinking. She’s also getting used to litterbox training really well! She took a treat from my hand, and even purrs when I pet her. I think that she’s still recovering from her surgery, and getting used to everything.
