        Hello all!

I have a 9 week old New Zealand named Dexter. Today during “out time” he was in the bathroom and turned to me, and starting running toward me. Usually he stops, but today, he did not. I turned too quickly, and fell over his cage which was in the hallway. I’m scraped up pretty bad, but will be okay.

My question is, was he charging me? Or was he just being playful?

        Any responses would be helpful!

        Thank you!

Probably a bit of both – charging can be playful.

He probably just wants to play.. My rabbit does that sometimes but when he gets near me he just keeps on licking and sniffing me, but now you probably scared him by falling off and you probably made a sound and he won’t do it again

Naaah, he’ll do it again! Running fast is way too much fun! I imagine you’d have gotten a big ‘ole binky if you hadn’t fallen. That or a head butt! It can look pretty menacing when something furry comes running at you full speed!

My rabbit Kilala does this to me a lot. Its usually in the mornings when I go to her room and give her breakfast. She is excited to see me because she knows she gets her tastey pellets and papaya tablet. She will also charge at me sometimes when she is playful. So more than likely your bunny is being playful or excited to greet you.

                  Thanks everyone for your responses!

I’ll keep in mind when my little bugger does it next time.
