        Hi everybun!

I got Mason back during Easter 2014. I was told from the owner’s father that they got Mason at 3 weeks and he was neutered in late February…so around 3 months…I am kind of wondering since I am no professional on the matter but how soon can male rabbits be neutered? I find that at 3 months it could be impossible..or even the fact that they got this bunny from a rabbitry at 3 weeks!

I went to the vet, but she told me that bunnies have this amazing ability to retract their organs if frightened, but she “felt” scar tissue. I guess I’m just a bit skeptical.

Have his testicles descended? When you are at home, take a quick peek, you should be able to tell. As long as this has happened, he should be able to be neutered at 3-4 months.

Technically, as soon as the testicles descend, the bun can be neutered. We usually throw out the 3.5-4 month she range for “descension”, but of course that’s just a range. Three months isn’t out of the range of possibility! And some don’t descend until a bit later (5 months or so).

Can you get paperwork from the previous owners, or the name of the vet who did the procedure for verification?

Normally at about 4 months but some vets like to wait longer, my vets have said I should wait till my bunnys 6 months old
