I have had my bunny girl for 2 years now (she’s also 2) and I love her sooooo much! She runs the household and has full access to the entire house (it’s bunnyproofed, no worries!) I know that rabbits all have their own individual personalities, but my baby girl really doesn’t like to interact with us all that much. I spend hours sitting with her on the floor while I work or just sitting, but she never comes over to snuggle or even just to sit with me. She does binky’s and flops all the time so she’s happy, but she just seems disinterested in us. Is there anything I can do to get her to enjoy snuggling? She’ll very rarely sit for maybe 1 minute and allow us to give her a good head rub but never more. I never try to pick her up because she doesn’t like it. Is there hope or should I just accept that her personality is more distant and un – snuggly?

          1 word. Triscuits.

Not alot! Like half of one, or a Mini triscuit, when you call their name and they hear that box and bag inside shake they just might do anything (eventually lol) for one! That will at least buy you a minute or two of pets time!

Also Craisins! Harvey literally CLIMBS me for one little craisin. Have you tried clicker training? I have found that it can help form a bond between you and she will learn to see interacting with you as something that benefits her.

I think bunnies, like humans, are extremely individual and can’t change personalities on a whim. However, the way to the heart is through the stomach. Raisins and clicker training might get you a few more moments.

I have one who flops down beside me and lays complelely flat. He won’t move as long as I pet him. My other one prefers solitude with the occasional head rub. Any extra attention makes her flee. A friend of mine has an elderbun who despises human contact. They’re all different .

Agreed. They are all different! But I also wanna agree with foooooood. Instead of feeding Bumpy his pellets as food, his daily supply is hand fed as treats. He isn’t exactly snuggly.. but he’s MUCH better than before!
