Cadbury is now two months, and he has never really gotten the hang of going in the litter box. He still poops and pees all over the place and maybe less than half his pees make it into the  litter box. Even when I limit his freedom (cage) for a few days, he never makes it into the litter box. Is he just to young to get it? Charlie is 2 years old and has not litter box problems and I was hoping that his behavior would teach Cadbury what to do, or is his attention span too short for his age? Charlie is free roaming, but I keep them in a VERY large x pen usually. I can’t separate them or else Cadbury starts eeping.

I don’t think it’s too young to try – it may be too young for him to get the hang of it – some do and some don’t so just see what happens.

Luckily (EXCEPT Henry ‘spraying’ us all on the bed – eeeek!), Henry has always been perfect with his litter habits using his litter tray from day one when he was brought home at 9 weeks old. I’m not sure why some bunny’s just ‘get it’ (even without encouragement) and some just don’t???
Sadly I don’t have any tips for you, I just wanted you to know that I don’t think 2 months old is too young, as I said, Henry used his litter tray wonderfully at 9 weeks without us intervening. Good luck Usagi.
