        Hello everybun.

I’m going to skip introducing myself because i’ve been on binky bunny for awhile, just forgot my login information so I made a new account.
Anyways, so I’m down to one bunny. Unfortuanetly, I had no choice but to re-home Moo Cow and Nugget, which was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I recently moved out of my parents house and into a basement apartment with my boyfriend, not only was money very tight, but our landlord changed her mind about rabbits when Pepe started spraying. He only did it when Moo or Nugget were near his cage, which was hard to prevent because my apartment is small, and I had to put their cages side by side.
So anyway, we decided to keep Pepe, since he was our first rabbit, and we got him when he was 8 weeks old. And we did our very best to make sure Moo and Nugget went to the best home possible. Nugget is with an older lady who lives on a big farm on a reserve, and Moo went with a younger girl who had just lost her previous rabbit due to old age.

So, I’ll go ahead with the whole reason I’m here. In may, a friend of ours was facing eviction if he didn’t get rid of his kitten. She was 8 weeks old, and his landlord didn’t allow pets at all. So, being the kind hearted cat lover I am, I had to take her. I was going through a bit of grief having given Moo and Nugget away, and this kitten was exactly what I needed. Also, my landlord loves her.
Her name is Lola, and at first I wasn’t sure how Pepe would react to a kitten the size of his head. At first she wanted nothing to do with him, and now I think she’s obsessed with him.
When I let him out she will follow him around and try to play with him as if he were another kitten. (she jumps on him, wraps her front paws around his head and licks his face) and sometimes he doesn’t seem to mind. But other times he looks a little bit worried.
The other day Lola go into his cage because I had forgot to shut it, and when I looked in she was laying beside him, paws wrapped around his face, and he just sat there.
Sometimes Lola will sit outside his cage and he’ll binky around it until she leaves. I’m not sure if hes happy or if hes trying to scare her off?
Anyway, I had them outside yesterday and Pepe was very interested in following Lola wherever she went and I’m very pleased that he hasn’t tried to hump her. Now that she is getting bigger he seems a lot more fond of her.

So, I’m basically just wondering if anybody else on here with bunny/kitten experience has had this happen? and should I keep them seperated at all times incase Pepe is scared of her? I don’t want to seperate them if they’re friends but I don’t want Pepe feeling un-safe.

Sounds to me like they are friends If he was afraid of her, I doubt he would follow her around. But I wouldn’t let her be rough with him, like jumping on him, etc, try to discourage that behaviour.

I do pull her off him and tell her “no” whenever she does it. I’m glad they’re friends!

Forgot to mention, make sure kitten’s nails are kept clipped because kitty nails can be full of bacteria and you wouldn’t want your little bun to get an infected scratch.

I have a cat and a rabbit who are also good friends! Our cat gets in the cage and they lie together. When our rabbit was poorly, our cat wouldn’t leave her side 🙂

My cat and rabbit are friends, though I separate them when I’m away. I recently had to change the top to the rabbit’s x-pen, because he had chewed holes in the top for her to go in – there was evidence of white fur and smug critters proving it happened (he is all black; she is all white). He did not leave. How do I know? No ‘victims’ (books, rug, couch all intact). The new top looks better though. I will have to get a picture.
