        Hi there!

My history with rabbits has been mostly full of unwanted rescues.  As a kid, I had two bunnies.  We had a white bunny named Snowball who lived in a cage in my basement.  I used to share apple slices with it as a three year old, but never grew fondly attached.  When I was eleven, my family took an un-neutered mini rex off of a family friend’s hands.  Nibblet took a chunk out of my hand when I tried to feed him food.  After that, I grew terrified of feeding and touching it.  We regrettably took him to the local pet store before a vacation, and he was quickly adopted out.  I regret that I didn’t have the experience and knowledge I do now.

Last November, I took home an older daycare rabbit named Lily.  She was in decent shape, but missing a little bit of TLC.  It took her a month to gain a beautiful glossy goat and rounded belly.  I’m pretty sure she’s a Lionhead x Polish because of the shape of her face.  What do you guys think?  Her age is estimated to be 7-8, but who knows at this point.

This is when I first got her.

         This is from February 2014.

Yesterday, I found this little English Spot looking bunny wandering the streets of a residential neighbourhood beside my work.  Long story short (I will post about it later), he’s going to be intact until he’s done the Baytril for a bladder infection.  When that’s done and he’s all healed up, I’m going to try to make them into a bonded pair.

The cage is a spare holding one for now.  I think he’s pretty content to feel safe and have food and water by his side.

Looking forward to posting more on here.

Those bunnies are both absolutely gorgeous! It is wonderful that you are rescuing these rabbits who need care. It makes me so mad when people set their bunnies “free”! Hopefully they will bond happily once he is all healthy and fixed. Also I don’t have a great eye for these things, but what kind of wood is that? Pine and cedar shavings can be toxic for bunnies. There are kinds that are okay though so please disregard if you already knew that!

They’re on Aspen shavings.    No worries, I know the concern!  Thanks for the kind words.
