I put this on my post in the lounge as well but it probably belongs here – Harvey just ate a good sized chunk of my headphones, probably about 10cm worth. I have looked everywhere and I can’t find the missing piece, so I am sure he has eaten it. How worried should I be?

          I wouldn’t worry too much.

Most bunnies just chew through and do not eat the cord. You’re fine.

You should be ok. Make sure he has plenty of hay, wet veggies and water to help him pass it just in case he did eat it. But I wouldn’t worry too much. There have been lots of stories on her of bunnies that ate weird things and turned out ok.

He’s definitely eaten it – I looked everywhere for the missing piece and can’t find it, and I saw him chewing after I caught him.

Thanks LEL, that makes me feel a little bit better. He can’t eat veggies at the moment because of mucoid enteritis, but I have given him heaps of hay and water. He had mucous this morning which further convinces me he ate it because that is what happens after he eats something his tummy isn’t ok with. I ended up ringing a 24 hour vet last night and she said as long as he chewed it into little pieces he should be fine, but if he didn’t then it could cause a blockage. I’m so stressed about it

I don’t have any advice but wanted to say that I love his name. Harvey is top on my list if I get a 4th bun (I had a stuffed polar bear when I was little and his name was Harvey).

There are quite a few folks on here who have bunnies that have eaten odd things. I think chewing on headphone/charger cords as well as remote control buttons seem pretty high on the list.

Things like that are way too tempting for a bunny. Is he acting normal this morning?

He doesn’t seem in pain, and he’s eating and pooping still so that’s good. Will keep an eye on it. Damn bunnies, they’re like 3 year olds.
