So i was petting my bunny the other day and i noticed some little pimple like bumps behind his right ear. Im not sure what they are. Could this be bad? If you guys could let me know what you think that would be helpful. I think he also had one on his chin but it is gone now.

          Could be papillomas.

They are wart-like growths caused by a virus. They tend to be benign, although I have heard stories of a small percentage becoming malignant. Growths around the head and ears is typical. You can have a vet look at the bumps (which is a good idea anyway). They can be removed if they are large. I think most leave them alone and wait to see if they regress on their own though first.

Bunnies can get something similar to “pimples,” but typically it is something more common like LBJ said. It would be worth asking the vet about.

                  Thank you so much

Hopefully they’ll be going to the vet soon, they actually haven’t been to one for like a year…. i know…… but our old vet was not so good and the nearest good exotic vet is two hours away. Sigh. The struggle.

My baby Cadbury got one on his ear, but it resolved itself within a week. I wouldn’t worry too much.
