Today I realized how every time I rub his head or every time he hangs out near me he grinds his teeth. Not loud enough to be heard from afar but loud enough for me to tell when I am close to him. The thing is, he eats regularly, has a healthy amount of droppings, drinks regularly and he is very energetic. Is he hurting?

It means he’s happy. Keep rubbing like that!

In rats, we call it bruxing. That’s still what I think of it as in rabbits, too. I just spent a good half hour with Fox laying next to me bruxing while I rubbed his ears and nose.

Mine does that pretty loud… not really sure if it’s tooth purs but I figure if he doesn’t like it he’ll get up and walk away.
