My newly 6 month old bubba, Dumpling, has just been caught with a small, black, jumpy friend.
I recently got back from a trip overseas and kept getting these random bug bites all over me, but in a house of 4, only I was getting bitten. I checked everything and combed through Dumplings and the cats fur, with nothing. But the bites would not abate. To ought, Dumps and I were snuggling on the couch, as he is often want to demand, and I have him a scratch and a kiss on the head and to my surprise, when I ruffled his ‘hair’ a little black friend was seen scurrying into his fur. I couldn’t find the bleeding thing afterwards either, so I’ll bet it’s on me or the couch now!
But, what my issue is, Dumps has no bites, but has been scratching more than usual. I am COVERED in bites, weirdly all over my tummy and breasts, but I never hold the rabbit when I’m undressed, so that’s so weird.
What I want to know is, what are the best ways to de-flea the house thoroughly without bothering Dumpling? I can do a flea bomb in my room, because he can be locked out, but what about the living room, where he stays? Can I use like, citronella candles and eucalyptus oil to clean the floor? Or will that be bad for my baby? I am going absolutely insane with itching!! I am glad though, that I found out what’s biting me. I thought I was going mad.
Also, what harm could fleas do to a bunny? I’m a nervous ninny and worry about him all the time!
        Thanks for any help.

        Hop on!
        Louise

I would give a dose of Revolution for kittens – get it at the vet’s office. Are you certain it’s fleas? The cats aren’t getting any fleas though?
