A lady and her teen daughter came in after Cotton was seen.  I never got to see her bunny.  It was a baby one. Well about 8 weeks.

They had it in the garage and were with it.  Hubby came home with his motorcycle scared the bunny and it ran and got caught in the wheel and broke its leg.  The vet assistant was talking with the 2 ladies about amputating its leg.  The bones were too small to put rods etc.  The ladies were concerned about it having 3 legs. The assistant was saying it would be fine.  I also shook my head yes and said they do fine with 3 legs.

They saw I had a bunny too.  I wrote down BB and HRS sites for them.  I waited til they were done talking and signed the papers etc. I approached and told them I see bunnies on these sites that have 3 legs and they do fine.  They run and still use the litterbox etc. And that I didn’t mean to be nosy.  They lady said oh no thank you.  I handed her the paper with these websites.  She may find info to help and also to reassure them.  Hopefully.

They asked about Cotton.  I dont’ mean to be nosy and you never know how a person will take it when you comment you know.  Fortunately I helped make them feel better and didn’t offend anyone.

It happened to be a wild bunny that they found and was lost or something.  I don’t think they can release it back into the wild with 3 legs tho.  Its so cute and friendly they said. I bet it is. Adorable. I am proud of them.  They took it to the vet and got help for it.  The lady said to her husband you injured it you have to pay to fix it.  Her husband wasn’t there lol at the vets.

I am so proud of them.  That they are doing the right thing about taking it to the vet.  I could tell the ladies felt bad it was hurt. They have a big heart.
