My bun (Cinnamon) loves this blue towel I have.  I was using it to put under her for grooming, and then I realized that she has fun playing with it- she bunches it up and spreads it back out and bunches it up and digs in it…  and I’ve been letting her do this.

My question is about her behavior around this towel.  She’s normally a sweet bunny and I sit with her and she’ll climb all over my lap and lick me and rarely nibbles.  However, all of a sudden when she is playing with this towel, she completely changes.  She gets all bossy and will bite my knees if they are in her way, which she has NEVER done when the towel is not there.  She’ll also bite me if I try to pet her.  I’m wondering if the towel brings out some sort of sexual excitement in her?  I really have no idea why she turns into an aggressive bunny around this towel.

Is she spayed? If not, I would say that her hormones have cause her to be rather attached to the towel. She is being protective of the towel, which is why she is biting you.

That’s kind of funny/cute. Except for the biting haha!
She’s 5 months old, so I won’t have her fixed for another month or so.

I agree with LEL. And 5 months is old enough to visit an experienced vet to ask if she’s ready to be spayed now. I suspect she is, and depending on how comfortable your vet is with the procedure, it’s more a matter of size for doing the procedure than of waiting for more hormonal activity. She’s ready. (And she luvs her blue towel, it’s Hers! hands off.)
