I finally finished “The Swan Thieves” by Elizabeth Kostova – it was very good and I’m glad I made a commitment to start reading again.

Am about 3/4’s of the way through “Good in Bed” by Jennifer Weiner – total chick lit but not smutty…even though that title sure sounds like it.  I decided I needed to read an easy novel in my huge book stash to help me keep my commitment to read more and watch TV less.  Might be able to finish it very soon since it’s easy reading.

Not sure what in my stash I’ll start next.  It’s kind of overwhelming deciding – my stash is very large and I need to try to get through it eventually.

Oh gosh… I miss reading. Work is getting busier so I have less recreational reading time. On the top of my “to read” list:
          – Mirror Sight by Kristen Britain. It’s the newest in a fantasy series, Green Rider, that I’ve been reading since I was a teen. I hope it’s good. I so want it to be good. Lol.

I didn’t get to read much other than textbooks when my classes were still in. I missed reading so much!

At the moment I am reading Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King (my favorite author).

No idea what I will start next I have entirely too many books and do not mind reading them over and over so it makes it even harder to choose just one.

I just got a book “A Man Called Dave”, it’s part of a 3 part series. (1st book: “A Boy Called It” and “A Lost Boy”. I read the first two books a long time ago and am eager to see how the story continues. It’s based on the real life events of the author, who went through some horrific childhood and the challenges in life. Quite heavy, but I do like stories that triumph. I hope that is what happens!

BB I have read those books. The first book was extremely difficult to read I threw my book across the room more than a few times.

As some may remember from previous ‘what cha reading’ forums, I usually read true crime.
I bought my daughter the 50 shades of grey series and as she reads them passes them back to me to read. I have yet to make a start (been too busy on BB, ha ha ha), but the first book is IN my bedside table drawer (protected in case Henry decides to eat it?) ready to go…..

PS – I wonder if it’ll hold my attention like a true crime book?

I have just started “The Age of Miracles” by Karen Thompson Walker. (Thank you Sarita for the recommendation!) It promises to be good so far!

AndHenry, my mother and I are total fiction crime and detective novel readers. If you go for fiction, you might like Jonathan Kellerman’s books, with Dr. Delaware and Det. Milo ?. I went back to the first ones, but for me, he was really, really brutal/gory/creepy with kids, so if I didn’t know he lightened up a bit on that stuff I’d be put off. However, I still stay glued to his books – good writer.

Linda Fairstein just published a brand new book in her series – can’t wait to get it from my library. Her books inspired Law & Order, SVU. She bases her stories in her own work of over 20 years in NYC establishing that division for real. History of NYC in all of them, too. Again, helps to start at the beginning, but not necessary.
