Okay so about a week ago I got an 8 week old lop bunny named  Chewy.  This is in addition to our 8 month old house rabbit named Fang.   When I took Chewy out to play today I noticed his poop was very soft and stuck to his bottom.  It’s not watery, just soft.   Until Notre he’s been pooping the usual hard pellets.  Now the bunnies aren’t bonded yet, so they do not play together and at night they have separate cages in the same room.  Chewy has been fed only baby formulated pellets and all the timothy hay he can scarf.   Also he still had an appetite and he played and hopped to his heart’s content.  I guess I just want to know if I should watch and see how he does it off we need to find a vet emergency room.

Also, should I bathe his butt or let him take care of business himself?

Okay, It could just be poorly formed cecotropes. Does the rabbit’s poop have a consistency of toothpaste? I think you should continue to watch him. For the most part, I think he will be fine.

If that was my rabbit, I would just let him do his thing, clean it himself!
