        Hello,

I’ve been reading the forum because we just lost our bunny bun buns.   I like the rainbow bridge poem. It helps to know that she is now in a better place.  Just so much crying tonight.  I know if I tell others that we lost our rabbit that they won’t understand.  Thankful that there are other bunny families out there who do understand. This is a nice place to come for grieving.  Thanks for letting me ramble.

I’ve lost 2 rabbits, several dogs, and several cats over the years. Losing rabbits hurts just as much as any other family member. I don’t think people realize how social rabbits are until they have one. Honestly, I have lost a few fish, and that didn’t make me quite as sad (sorry if that offends anyone). I think it’s the glass that keeps you separated that makes you feel a little less close to them. Anyway, I will be devastated to lose either of my bunnies, as I have had them longer than my other rabbits (one died during spay, the other died of old age but was outside when I was little. I have learned since then.) I totally understand the feeling though. I lost my cat I had for 17 years recently, and some people looked at me like I was an alien when I cried for a cat.

Also, if you would like, you can create a memorial for your bunny on here. Take a look at some of the other ones. I think it helps get some closure to share with others the happy times you had with your bunny, instead of focusing on the negative.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how much losing a pet can hurt. I hope your pain will lessen over time.

Thank you so much. I will make a memorial on here.  She was such a good bunny. She will be missed.

Thank you so much.  The pain will go away in time but right now I amjust very sad.  She was our pet for eight years.  Now that she is gone it’s like there is ahole there.

When I lost my first bunny I vowed never to get another but getting another bun actually helped me cope. If you get another bun they won’t replace the other one that you lost but they can help you slowly feel better. I have my third rabbit right now and I still remember my others before him. I will probably always remember my furry friends, but getting a new friend helps! Binky On!

I am so sorry. Feel free to share anything about your bunny, pictures, etc, or just rant and ramble. We are here to support you. (((Hugs)))
