My vet had a look at my eldest but he didn’t know what is going on. His inner eyelids keep showing. They’re not discoloured, just plain whitish, and it makes him look very suspicious because they’re on display quite a bit. Does anyone have any ideas why they’re doing this?

The opaque eyelid coming from inner corner of eye?
          Do you have a photo?

It can be indicator of other health issues. Did the vet do overall health check?

Not sure if this is too much info but it does show how sometimes there underlying, serious conditions that need to be ruled out.

Hopefully it’s just an anomaly that’s harmless. Relaxed muscles or something…
If your vet doesn’t know, you might want seek a second opinion or have current vet recommend a specialist.

It looks like the right picture in your link, only it’s there when he’s not stressed. I’ve emailed hq@rabbitwelfare.co.uk to see if there are any specialists in my area. My vet said there’s nothing wrong with his heart or lungs.

Wooly has one protruding 3rd eyelid (nictating membrane), but it is the result of an injury when he was a baby. It doesn’t hurt him now, it just looks weird. The vet said we could have the torn piece cut off, but said if it wasn’t bothering him then there was no reason to mess with it. His doesn’t look like the picture though. I agree with Jersey, if it is sticking out that much and you don’t know the cause then it would be a good idea to investigate further to make sure it isn’t anything serious.
