        Hello!

        I have a few  questions about treats….

        Can rabbits eat Pumpkin seeds?

And… What does your rabbit like to eat? Other than celery, carrots, parsley, etc…

Thanks for using your time to read this!

That’s a list of veggies and fruits that buns can eat. I got it off of this website. My bun loves pineapple, carrots, lettuce, celery, and once i had this natural cranberry apple juice that she got into! lol! I guess she loves cranberries and apples.

No seeds of any kind – so no pumpkin seeds!

My buns love kale & it’s usually pretty cheap. Although, only feed about 1/3 of their salad as kale. So much calcium! Also collard greens. Dandelion greens are a favorite in my house. Bok choy (although it’s expensive here). Fennel! And normal herbs like basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary.

tanlover14, I’m so confused on what part of the dandelion green is edible. Not the stem that has that milky white stuff that comes out of it when you pick it?

Oh, that’s an excellent question. I only use the dandelion greens bought from the store (in the edible human section), haha! I’ve never tried outdoor ones so I really have no clue. But the dandelion greens at the store, now that you brought it up, don’t look anything like the dandelions I have outside….. so now I’m confused as well…..

They’re REALLY long. Like the size of my arms and don’t include any dandelion flowers/stems… it’s all leaves!

The whole dandelion is safe for food. The flowers, stems and leaves can all be eaten, provided that they are human-grade or have been picked from areas away from roads, dogs, and pesticides.

How is your bunny, Baby-Daisy? Are you still having problems with her eating the bedding and the wooding of the side of the hutch???

Yes, as long as it is not treated and you don’t have a dog. Wash it first.

I do have dogs, but they don’t go where I get my dandelions. We have a big yard, and in the summer we have about 2 acres of yellow.(many many dandelions). So it’s very easy for me to find dandelions that our dogs can’t get to.
