My two lovely bunnies Reg and Betty are 4 years old and they are house bunnies. I live in rented flat and my new neighbour is complaining about noise my two are making at night. I have laminate flooring but some bunny proof carpet tiles too. I need them to be less active at night or we could all face being homeless I’ve seen rescue remedy on the forum but not the night time one it’s alcohol free but is it safe to use?
        Many thanks
        Kate

Rabbits are most active during dawn and dusk. What type of noise are they making that can annoy your neigbor?

I’ve never heard of using Rescue Remedy on a regular (nightly) basis. That doesn’t sound good to me.

Are your rabbits tossing their bowls around, or thumping or racing around? Just how are they making noise? Is the neighbor below you? Are they contained in any way or are they free roaming? If they are in some sort of x-pen or cage, could you place a thick rug under their carpet tiles to muffle sound? Or if they are in a pen, could you relocate so as to be further away from your neighbor? If they are making noise by tossing bowls around, you could look for very heavy crockery ones that hopefully couldn’t be tossed.

Instead of using some kind of substance, even a natural remedy on your rabbits, it seems like it would be better to try to make their area more soundproof, and/or to take away or substitute items that may be making noise.

You could pad their area with soft things to help muffle sound, or try using light toys such as cardboard and woven hay toys.
