Hi everyone… so this morning Pamper was just hopping around and I noticed something funny. I called her and as she came to me I saw she wasn’t completely stepping her right front paw on the ground. I touched it and she didn’t flinch or feel any discomfort, in fact she started grooming me. Her whole paw/arm/shoulder look fine, no signs of redness or swollenness. In fact I tried to press her paw lightly on the ground and she left it there. But she started hopping again and I’m sure she steps on her left paw much more than on her right one. My impression is that the right one looks “shorter” somehow.

She runs normally, lounges, eats, poops, drinks and is as nice to me as ever.

What can I do? It’s a national holiday here and there is no way the vet’s will be open. Maybe not even tomorrow.

Is there a chance that maybe while zooming or jumping she stepped the wrong way and it’s numb? Is that a possibility for bunnies?

        Thank you.

My usual rule with limping pets (when there is no obvious cause) is to wait a day or two and see how it goes. If she’s eating and generally happy, she doesn’t seem to be in too much pain. If she’s still moving strangely in a couple days I would definitely go to the vet though. It’s really hard to say what it might be.

I think she’s better now. It looks like something muscular. I will keep an eye on her though. Thank you so much!
