Why is it when hubby claps and tells Cotton to get down he gets down from the spare couch.

When I clap and say get down he just looks at me. The other nite I shouted myself hoarse it felt like and he finally got down.  I said don’t make me get up several times. .

Tonite I got up and shooed him off.  Had to get up anyways so I figure I would save myself from shouting and just shooo him away from there.  Now I have to get up again its hot  from watching netflix on Littles (google chrome) since Pinky (laptop) speakers don’t work.  Littles is resting on my leg making me hot.  Doggone I hate it when I have to get up.  I don’t like shouting be honest with you so normally I don’t.

Ahh now he is lying down by his litter box.  Thats more like it.

          Haha silly bunny!
Is there a reason he isn’t allowed on the couch?

Try this. Get a can, put a stone in it, and when he goes where you don’t want him to, don’t yell, just shake the can. If he doesn’t mind the can noise, find a noise that bugs him, hopefully something easy.

This works for many rabbits. I also like that it’s not associated with me. It’s a noise, not me yelling or shooshing etc. I don’t come off as the bad guy, it just looks like natural consequences

You know I don’t mind him on that couch.  Just I do now cuz the bugman put gel on the window sill to kill those stupid roaches. I guess I could take it off now.  I don’t see anymore bugs over there.  The situation is loads better.

Hubby wants him off that couch cuz he leaves his papers n sunflower seeds there.  I just put a pillow over his papers.

Hmm rocks in a can sounds like a good idea.  Better than shouting.  I don’t like shouting.

I remember a bunny someone had.  Everytime they had to take meds it would thump at the sound of the medicine rattling in the pill bottle was so funny.

The only way I get my bunny to stop doing something is by crinkling a chip bag or something, then he assumes I’m getting him a treat and stops everything. Once in awhile saying his name will make him stop because he likes listening to my voice, but only if he wasn’t very determined to begin with – nothing will stop him from sticking his paws and face in the ashes in the fireplace. *sigh*

He’s immune to annoying or loud sounds, he doesn’t even flinch when the smoke alarm goes off anymore.
