        Hi guys,

I’m sorry if this thread has been done before but I have to ask.  I’ve kind of been thinking about possibly getting Noah a girlfriend.  What are some pros/cons to this? Is this something that is recommended? Something that may be more beneficial than harmful to Noah?

          Hi,

Pro: Your rabbit will be soooooooooo much happier Con: A huge commitment because once that friend of your rabbit dies or the opposite, the other one could get highly depressed and could die, so you have to get another one to replace it and will have to keep replacing rabbits. I personally recommend getting a second rabbit for the sake of happiness.

          Ask yourself these questions:
-If they don’t get alone, can I keep them in separate cages?
-Can I afford this because everything I buy will be doubled?
-You will still give your attention to both rabbits?

Getting another rabbit is highly beneficial to Noah!

Thank you!! These are very good points that I had not considered. Does it happen often that they don’t end up bonding?

Your welcome!! Glad to help. I don’t think it happens often, but it can. It’s always good to be prepared though!

Hey Jughead has made some very good points!
When I decided on getting Barney a girlfriend, I had to consider that both buns will need to be either spayed or neutered before bonding can take place, which is quite a lot of money on it’s own. Also, you may need a bigger habitat for two buns depending on their current habitat now, whether they are free range or whatever My two are certainly very happy as a pair, but I definitely didn’t bank on his girlfriend being as huge as she is!!
Love them both to pieces, let us know what you decide
