This isn’t something that I’d consider strange behavior, but I just wanted to share! I let my bun run around in my apartment everyday when I’m home, and I did notice that his favorite place is underneath my bed. I can leave him there and he would just snooze all day. Even though he has a box to hide in in his pen, I notice he always loves going underneath the bed! Does anyone’s bun do the same? Do they like being “hidden”? I even gave my bun a box to hide in but he hardly uses it.

I have a rabbit who loved to go under the bed and do naughty things like chew legs and the fabric cover of the box spring so I went out and got nic cubes and made a little fence. Glad to hear your bunny just loves to nap under your bed. =)

Both my buns love going under things. We have a futon that they are under whenever they are out. We don’t let them in the bedrooms much because the under-bed areas are not bun-proofed and it’s such a pain to chase them out.

                Very clever, Sindriona!!!

My buns are the same way! Bindi loves going under my bed and just running around. Bunnies love hidden, tunnel-type areas. It’s natural for them as a burrowing animal.

Thanks. I wish she could still play under the bed. The first few weeks of living in her bunny room she didn’t chew on the bed then hormones set in and she started chewing the legs and stuff. Then one day I found her on top of the bed after I made the fence and she was chewing the headboard. So I now have that covered. She loves sitting on the bed so I put her hoppers hideaway up against the bed so she could climb up instead of the jumping like she did before.

Sindriona that’s really clever! And your bun used to jump to the top of the bed? That’s fairly high! I was curious to see if my bunny would ever do that but so far, he hasn’t tried. :p

LittlePuffyTail that makes sense. I just find it funny that he doesnt like hiding in the tunnels or boxes I give him, just my bed! That’s his number one spot, I guess! We had an earthquake a couple weeks ago and he busted out of his pen – right to underneath the bed! Well, I’m glad he has a safe spot for such occasions.

My rabbit still gets on the bed. This is her in her favorite spot. She is really tiny I took the pic up close to her. I was shocked to see her up there because she is so small I never thought she could jump that high. Now she uses her cardboard hideaway to climb up and down.

Asia’s had free access to my living area the whole time she’s been with me, and never hid under anything- up until we got her hus-bunny Ozzie. They both love hiding under the TV stand, so now we have a mountain of stuff surrounding it so they don’t get into any wires.
