I adopted a 2 year old female dwarf from a sanctuary today. She’s had a pretty rough beginning, and has been in sanctuary care for 10 months. She has “bunny PTSD” if you will, and is still very shy. I have no problems with this and expect nothing different. However, I’m wondering, do I take her out for playtime? Or should I just let her hang out in her x-pen for a few days? She has plenty of room to run around in there, I just wonder if a change of scenery would be good for her right now or just cause more stress than good. Thanks!

I think if she’s brand brand new to you to just let her settle in to a routine for a few days – leave the door open to the pen though and let her decide how far she want’s to travel out.

Is that her in the photo – she’s adorable – I love Dutch rabbits.

That’s what I was thinking too. Thank you so much for confirming my thoughts. The bunny in the picture is not her, it’s my little boy Hyde. He’s abouit 5 months old. The one I’ve adopted is a Netherland Dwarf. Here’s a picture of Aaliyah:  photo 13ab3b94-aee4-4445-9c08-39fbe89ca15e_zps262e3508.jpg
