Hi everyone, my new screen name is Ablesmom, formally penelopesmom…congrats It was a boy, found out officially when we had his neuter..anyway my question is about his shedding, he had the adorable cream colored baby bunny fuzz (he is a lion head) well i noticed his hair was coming off (on my black pants usually) so i bought a brush, and now his hair seems to be coming in a really WHITE color and different texture then he had before..Im sure this is normal but is it normal to have a very cream colored rabbit, to a white one after one shed? he is still creamy and fuzzy in spots but he is starting to look almost completely white with really smooth short hair..not really fluffy anymore.

Yes! This is more noticeable when they molt. I have a chocolately brown rabbit that turns black each time he molts! And my gray Lionhead turns a lighter gray! Odd… but normal! No need to worry! The fluff will probably come back. Some Lionheads though are much furrier when they’re young and then when they go through their first big molt they lose a lot of that. With mine, it has always grown back but I know with others it hasn’t. How old is your Lionhead?
