While sitting in the bunny room I noticed some loud gurgling noises coming from Lulu. She was also sitting in a hunched loaf position and would shift her wait and move into other weird stiff positions. I also heard her teeth grinding. I gave her some baby gas drops to help break up any painful gas bubbles last night and spent the night in the bunny room. She is acting completely normal other then those symptoms. Running around and eating (and very excited to eat). This morning I am still hearing the gurgling without having to put my head to her stomach. I also feel like she keeps pressing it onto the floor. It’s been almost 24 hours with no improvement but she has also not gotten worse…. Do you think I should give her more simethicone and do tummy rubs? Does anyone know why she is like this?

          Here is an update:
I was sitting with her just now and I heard really loud stomach gurgles. When it started her mouth started moving and I think it could be teeth grinding although it isn’t as loud as last time. Every time it gurgles she looks tense and chatters her mouth. I think the bubbles are painful. I Just gave her some simethicone and some belly rubs she didn’t like the belly rubs at all. I could hear the gas gurgling when I rubbed but it seemed to be painful as she’d start moving her mouth like she was teeth grinding. I put her back into the bunny room and she is now happily eating some hay pellets.

            How is she today?

If its’ just gas, the simethicone and tummy rubs should help. A good move to add to the tummy rubs is to lift buns back feet of the floor a couple of inches and do a gentle massage of the tummy with the feet up. This really helps break up gas. My buns hate it but they hate the tummy massages altogether.

That could also be an indication of dental problems. Hope she is doing better today.

I just woke up. Last night I gave her 3 doses of gas drops in total. She is still eating and as far as I can tell seems completely fine today. If she continues to seem fine would I have to go to the vet?

I also just woke up to find Mocha keeping his left eye closed and it is also a little goopy.

Let me know if that picture works. I’m on my phone so I don’t know how else to do this.

Oh, that doesn’t look too good – can you clean it up a bit to see how he does?

Yeah I’ll go try to clean it up. It looks like it’s the same eye that got watery before.

Last time it eventually went away so maybe this time it will too?

The goop is gone now… I bet Lulu cleaned it off for me. I guess I’ll keep an eye on it
