Hello everyone, I was told by someone at the pet store that if I rub a jalapeño pepper on her cage bars she will stop biting them so I did, she licked it a few times and stopped. Is this dangerous? I don’t want to harm my little rabbit. Before we rubbed plain dove soap and she loves it and I read online that is very harmful, is it ? I’m so confused!!

I would say a few licks won’t hurt her, hopefully she will stop chewing the bars. I would NOT use soap, as that could be harmful.

I don’t honestly know how safe that is… I’ve never heard that as a recommendation for deterring a rabbit from an area. Personally, I would not use that.

Some buns just like to chew and rattle on their cage… I don’t know to what extremes it is worth going to stop that.

Is she still in that cage in your avatar? Perhaps the problem is that the cage is too small and she needs a larger space…
