        Well, our bun, Link, http://i.imgur.com/H06naf6.jpg

has had a number of problems with his eye, we thought it was a complication following a flair up of E. Cuniculi, but, after seeing our vet A LOT, an eye specialist and a rabbit specialist (Pet insurance is a god send, by the way) we’re not 100% sure what has caused it all.

But, he’s been being medicated, first of all, Baytril, Panacur and metacam, then, he was given a course of steroid eye drops, coupled with more Baytril…

Now, he’s off the Baytril and Panacur, everyone is happy that there is no infection, and we’ve taken him off the steroid eye drops and he’s on a non-steroid drops now with the occasional dose of Metacam.

We spoke with the eye specialist again today, though, and, because Link is generally still struggling (He spends a fair amount of time sitting with his eye closed and grinding his teeth in discomfort) we’re now going ahead with removing the eye.

Not sure when, but we’ve got the ball rolling and will happening in the next few weeks…

He’s such a grumpy bun, and he’s now pretty much blind on that side anyway, so, hopefully, once it’s out, he’ll calm down and stop being so grumpy and become the happy bun he should be!!!

        Still a little worried, though…
But, he’s only a year old, so he’s still young and strong (And very strong willed!!!)

Aww, poor Link. I wish him luck. Hopefully things will be better once it’s gone. Animals tend to adapt to these things much better than people do.

He’s such a sweet, yet grumpy little bugger.

He now has a permanent helicopter ears, as the ear on his bad side has replayed his eye as his sensory device.

Still doesn’t like me, though… (I’m the one to administer the eye drops)
