I’ve noticed the past couple of times going to visit Shadow and Thumper (so excited to bring them home it’s almost here!!!!) That Thumper does these really soft almost inaudible honking noises whenever she grooms herself, eats pellets, and today I noticed also when I pick her up. She doesn’t seem to be in pain and usually bunny loafs and or flops and then clicks her teeth quietly (purrs) afterwards. So I’m assuming it’s a happy sound. The reason I’m slightly concerned is because she also sneezes quite a bit. About 4 or 5 sneezes in a row. She cleans her face immeadiately after and doesnt seem to have a wet nose after. Should I be concerned or is she just an extremely happy bunny?

Some bunnies are more “talkative” than most, honking while eating and doing things they enjoy. The sneezing could be worrisome if it happens often.

Honking can either be excitement or (depending on her age) the start of sexual maturity. Sounds like in her case it’s probably just excitement.

The sneezing is concerning. When are you bringing them home? Make an appointment for them to see your rabbit vet sometime within the first month home with you, or sooner if the sneezing gets worse or you see discharge.
