This site has given me lots of great ideas on things like new bunny cages, hay boxes, bunny run area.  I think my bunnies’ lives are much better for it.  One day, I saw the bunny maze in the on-line shop.  I wanted to try it, but was worried the bunnies wouldn’t like it. So, I collected some boxes and built a maze to see if they would enjoy it.

Wow! What a response.  They couldn’t get out of their cages fast enough.  All they wanted to do was run and inspect the new thing. They began to want to sleep in the maze during nap times and at night.  After several weeks, they began to chew and break down the maze.

So, every few weeks, I collect boxes and build another maze.  I have been doing this since November and they still love it!

Who knew my bunnies were bored?

Oh. For my rabbits they have a bunch of toys that they love. So they don’t get tired of them, every week when I clean out their pen, I switch the toys out so they don’t get bored

I find that bunnies really love when you change things around. Mine will ignore the same old boxes in their room, but as soon as we do something different with them (tip them over, cut a new hole, fill them with paper, etc) the boxes are fun and “new” again.

Rabbits in the wild dig burrows, so I think set ups like you made let them exercise their burrowing instincts.

That is a smart idea.  Glad they are excited about it. They love boxes and phone books.
