         1. house bugs and bunnies.. I moved into a new house and have just had a tiny centipede fall on my shoulder yesterday, I haven’t seen any since then, but it got me thinking.
        So the questions is, are there any bugs I need to worrier about with him?  if so what is a safe way to take care of them?

        2. Odd thing he has started to do.
        He has started to ‘dig’ on my leg.   Not too hard, but with Pj’s on its enough to leave a slight redness on the spot.
        When I stop him, he grabs my clothing *leg or arm* and pulls on it.   Before he starts ‘digging’ again.
        He has only done this twice now, but I have not found anything on ‘bunny habits’ that say that they dig on someone to show anything, so I am not sure what to take of it.

        He seems fine, binky-ing and licking my hand, he just flopped down right next to me.  So I’m not thinking it has to do with dislike?

        Any incite would be great.

        The nose is not wet now, and the sneezing hasn’t occurred today, I’m keeping an eye on that.

        Hello,

        I have a question for all of you.

         My bunny has randomly been sneezing repeatedly, in bursts.
        This has happened 3? times today.   The area around his nose seems a little bit damp.
        He was last in for a check up about 2 weeks ago, and seemed fine then.  I think its been about 3 days,but today it seemed to happen a bit more then the last two.

        But other then that he seems just fine.  Running around from room to room, flopping down and napping.
        Eating hay, pellets, treats and water.

        I’m not sure If I should be worried or not.

        Help please.

          If it continues, I’d get him back in to be seen by the vet. It could be the beginning of an upper respiratory infection.

          Otherwise, it could be caused by overly dusty hay or another irritant in the air.

          Just like us, rabbits will sneeze on occasion, but if it’s constant and coupled with discharge from his nose or eyes, he should be seen.

            My sneeze prone girl sneezes 1-2 times a day, but when she gets a URI it starts to become more and more common and they’ll come in quick bursts of sneezes, the bursts being 3-10 sneezes in a row, multiple times a day. It’s hard for a vet to detect a URI until it causes some sort of irritation, or discharge, so they could have missed the onset at his checkup. You could call and ask the vet what they think, since they just saw him.

              My boy Lionel has chronic sneezing and he does this occasionally-but it is usually a URI. If it continues, I would definitely get some ABs from the vet to clear it up.

                Well he hasn’t had a fit today that I have seen or heard, and his nose is not wet today so. I think he is all good right now, but I will be keeping my eye on him.

                But I have two more questions for you.

                  I wouldn’t be very worried about the digging but I would be worried about the sneezing. You say his nose is damp so this can be the signs of an upper respitory system. If this keeps happening and he keeps sneezing you should probably get it checked out at your vet.

                    I would not mind the digging, except that he is doing it into my leg. >.>;
                    I stop him or move him away, and he hops back over and starts digging into my leg again. so… ^.^;;

                      Mine will dig at my pant leg or shoe when they want something. Usually attention or food.

                      I wouldn’t be terribly concerned about any bugs unless you have spiders with potent venom (i.e. black widows, brown recluses). Obviously you don’t want bugs crawling through your bunnies cage or on their food, simply because it isn’t very sanitary. Perhaps you could call an exterminator and they can recommend some methods that wouldn’t cause a problem for pets.

                        Bunnies like to dig. That’s what they would do in the wild, it is just natural. My boy Lionel does this too. You just have to redirect them.
                        I wouldn’t worry about the bugs as long as it’s only the one incident.
